What is Degresh Finance?

A finance and accounting app you use in the browser, on one double-entry ledger. It has two views: Simple for personal and household money, and Advanced for business bookkeeping — journal, periods and financial statements.

What's the difference between the Simple and Advanced views?

Simple shows Overview, Transactions, Accounts and Budgets, with Quick add for expenses, income and transfers. Advanced adds Journal, Periods and Reports. Both write to the same ledger, so switching views changes no data.

What is a space?

A space is a separate shared ledger with its own members, base currency and chart of accounts. Usually one space per person, household, team or legal entity.

Which languages are supported?

Indonesian and English, across the whole interface. Each person can choose their own language.

Personal use

Do I need to know accounting?

No. In the Simple view you just record an expense, income or transfer as a single amount. The double entry is written for you.

Can I share a space with my family?

Yes. Invite a partner or family members by email to the same space, each with their own access level — for example view only, or recording too.

Which accounts can I track?

Cash, bank accounts, e-wallets, credit cards, loans and money lent out, plus your own expense categories and income sources.

What about monthly bills?

Set them up once as recurring transactions. Fixed bills such as rent can record themselves; bills whose amount changes, such as electricity, can be reminders you confirm.

What if I start a business later?

Create a separate space for the business, or switch to the Advanced view in the same space. Existing data keeps working, with no migration.

Planning

Does a plan or a simulation change my books?

No. Plans, the forecast and business simulations never post entries and never show up in reports or balances. When you start a plan, all it makes is an ordinary budget from its expense lines.

Where do the cash look-ahead's figures come from?

From today's balance of your cash accounts, then recurring entries, active budgets, the history average for the other accounts, and the expected money in or out you add. No account is counted twice.

Can I export it?

Yes. Plans, the cash look-ahead and business simulations export to PDF and Excel, in Indonesian, English or both. Every export is kept in Generated reports with your other reports.

Is it available in the Simple view?

Yes, in everyday words. The Simple view hides changes over time, a scenario's own figures and linking simulation lines to income accounts. All of them are in the Advanced view.

Accounting and PSAK

Does Degresh Finance follow PSAK?

Financial statements and fixed-asset treatment follow Indonesian accounting practice: balance sheet, income statement, direct and indirect cash flow, commercial depreciation under PSAK 216, and deferred tax under PSAK 212. Accounting policies and the content of the statements remain your company's responsibility.

Can it calculate tax, create e-Faktur or issue sales invoices?

No. Tax calculation, e-Faktur and invoicing stay in the software you already use. Degresh Finance records their effect on the ledger through journals or Excel imports. For fixed assets, the tax book by asset group is kept as input for the tax return.

How do I correct a wrong entry?

A posted entry is never edited. You post a reversal (a new entry that undoes the old one) or void it. Both are recorded, and both can require approval.

Does it support multiple currencies?

Yes. Each space has a base currency. Each journal line can use another currency with its rate, and the ledger balances in the base currency.

Can I move data over from an old system?

Yes, through Excel: import opening balances with a cutover date, then import transactions in the Simple or Journal layout. Every file is checked before anything is saved.

Cloud and data

Cloud or self-hosted?

Cloud is the default: you use Degresh Finance in the browser, and we host it, update it and back it up. Self-hosting on your own servers is an option for large organisations with specific needs — see the Enterprise page.

Do I need to install anything?

No. A browser and an internet connection are all you need. There are no servers or installations to look after.

How secure is my data?

Every user can turn on two-factor authentication. Access is set by role and can be limited to specific accounts, large writes can require a second person's approval, an activity log records who changed what, and data is backed up regularly.

Can I take my data with me?

Yes. Reports export to PDF and Excel at any time, and every export is kept in your space's report archive.
